The Chev Ute was purchased new and still remains within the family after many years of service to several members of the family. Note that Fred wore work boots and socks and the top of the boots and socks were covered by puttees. The type he wore were from the 1st world war and were like a wide heavy bandage wound over the top of the boots and up the leg to keep unwanted material out of his boots.
