The McDermott family with navvies leaving Dickabram following construction of the Kilkivan branch line. ‘McDermott Owen & Co’ had been contracted to build the Dickabram Bridge across the Mary River. This bridge was completed in 1886. Another rail bridge at Woolooga across Wide Bay Creek on the same branch line was completed in 1884.
