Almondsbury House in Park Street, Ipswich, was the residence of George Williams, builder. George was born in Gloucestershire in 1846, and was responsible for the erection of such landmarks in the Ipswich district as 'Brynhyfryd', the North Star Hotel, part of the Railway Workshops and some of the principal buildings of the Government Asylum at Goodna.
