The 2nd Torbanlea Community Hall . Pugh's Almanac of 1909 records John Bullock not only was the hotel keeper at the Miners' Arms Hotel at Torbanlea but was also the proprietor of the Public Hall. By 1912, the hall proprietress was Mrs Coley. Mrs Emily Coley was Sarah Ann Bullock (nee George) sister. She also had licencee to the Miner's Arms Hotel.
In 1910, Samuel Bullock and Eliza Harris were married and their wedding breakfast was celebrated at Bullock's Hall. A new hall was built in the 1920's by Sarah Ann who was licensee at the time.

This picture is also part of the Bonzle Cattle (open in new window) photo collection.
