The 'Tree of Knowledge' in 2000, erroneously thought to be the birthplace of the Australian Labour Party in 1891. It was poisoned in 2006 and removed in July 2007. DNA was extracted and it was cloned in 2008 and cuttings are being tended in Barcaldine. A Memorial was put in its place in May 2009. But before all this it was commonly known as the 'Hallelujah Tree' on account of the fact The Salvation Army used to hold its street meetings under it.
