Zetland is a suburb of south Sydney in east New South Wales and has a population of around 2,600 (54.1% male, 45.9% female). Around 630 families live in the area and of those 24.9% have one or more children under the age of 15. 9.4% of families have only a single parent while 56.8% of couples have no children. Zetland covers an area of approximately 80 hectares (198 acres).

The most common income bracket for people living in Zetland is between $1,000-$1,299 per week (13.8% of people). 9.0% have no income and high income earners ($2000 or more per week) account for 8.3% of the population.

Of the 1064 private dwellings in Zetland 12% are owned outright by their occupiers, 34% are being purchased (eg. by mortgage) and 52% are being rented.
