Hampton Open for Hunting
The majority of Hampton forest is open to Hunting, managed by the Game council of NSW. All vermin species rabbit/fox etc are open for Hunting as well as feral deer, which are classed as a Game species, not a pest. Hunters must Identify themselves by wearing an item of Blaze orange clothing. Hunting is carried out either by rifle, shotgun, BowHunting or pig hunting with the use of dogs. Spotlighting at night is illegal and should be reported to police. Native species, including Kangaroos are not hunted. For information regarding recreational hunting visit http://www.gamecouncil.nsw.gov.au/

In Hampton, primarily the north and middle sections of the forest are hunted, much of the Pine forest in the south end is closed to hunting
